Oral Surgery Consultations

This initial consultation will be a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You’ll be able to go through your concerns with a knowledgeable professional to alleviate any surgical anxiety. We want you to feel comfortable and prepared for your surgery, and our team will use this time to get to know you and your needs.

Your oral surgeon will review any referral information, x-rays, medications you are currently taking, and medical conditions that may affect your surgery. This will help determine the best treatment options for your circumstances. After determining a treatment plan, our friendly team will thoroughly explain your procedure, including the before, during, and after details of your surgery.

Additionally, our team offers same-day surgery options for wisdom teeth, dental implants, sedations, and extractions. With our flexible scheduling and attentive oral surgeons, you can restore your oral health as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Learn About Your Oral Surgery Appointment

What should I do to prepare for my first appointment?

It is important to complete all new patient paperwork before your appointment. You can access the new patient paperwork here. Please bring any referral information from your dentist, and a complete list of your medications to your appointment as well. You can view our instructions page for a general idea of the preoperative and postoperative instructions for the type of procedure you will have.

What sedation options do you offer?

At WISE, we are uniquely able to provide a variety of sedation options, such as local anesthesia and nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, IV sedation and general anesthesia.  Book your consultation today to discuss these options with your WISE oral surgeon.

Is it possible to have my oral surgery procedure on the same day as my consultation?

WISE is happy to offer same-day procedures for extractions, sedations, and implants. In some cases, it may be possible to have your procedure on the same day as your initial consultation. It will depend on your treatment plan and our surgeon’s schedule and availability. This is why it’s important to make your consultation as soon as possible, so you can then have your procedure as soon as possible.

All sedations require patients to have nothing to eat or drink for 8 hours before surgery. A small amount of water can be drunk up to 2 hours before the surgery. Also a driver/escort is required for all sedations and to be present in the building before surgery is started.
